With over 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry I have worked extensively with both originative products and clones.

My expertise spans facilitating initial training of medical representatives as well as continuous upskilling of experienced representatives, covering product, competitor and disease area knowledge and essential soft skills for effective in-call competence and sales force effectiveness. I also have experience in training regional managers an infield coaching techniques facilitating team meetings and team workshops. I have collaborated closely with national and regional sales managers to design develop and implement impactful blended learning programmes that empower sales teams to enhance their performance and foster a culture of continuous learning. My passion lies in creating and facilitating practical engaging learning experiences that strengthen team effectiveness and operational success and support professional growth.

 Work experience

I am a qualified pharmacist, with more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. 

As Head of Learning and Development, I focused on the sales force i.e. Medical Representatives and Regional Managers. My roles and responsibilities included the design, development, and facilitation of product and disease area knowledge (for existing and newly launched products), in the fields of osteoporosis, depression, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolaemia for example, as well as the facilitation of in-call competencies and soft skills training of the entire sales force. This included the design, development, and implementation of blended learning programmes, with the design and development of eLearning and microlearning modules, forming part of these programmes.

 As the company SDF, I was responsible for the preparation and submission to the CHIETA, of the yearly Workplace Skills Plan/ Annual Training Report of the entire subsidiary and was also closely involved in the management and implementation of Pharmaceutical Sales Representative learnerships in the subsidiary.

My role as Head of Compliance included the review and validation of all promotional and non-promotional material of the subsidiary.
