Meet the ExpertRep team


As a Chartered Director (SA), Michele is a specialist at the IoDSA (Institute of Directors of South Africa) focusing on building awareness of the importance of recognizing professional competence amongst practicing directors.  She headed up the department responsible for education, training and development of directors, aligning initiatives to the Director Competency Framework and in this capacity played a leading role in professionalizing directorship in South Africa.  She has more than ten years of experience developing recognition frameworks and educational strategies for professional bodies.


Dr. Jason Naicker is a Specialist Physician/Medical Oncologist at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital.  He is a qualified General Practitioner since 2002 and has been involved in the pharmaceutical industry as Medical Adviser at Janssen Pharmaceuticals and now as Technical Adviser to ExpertRep.  He is also a private practicing Oncologist at the Wits Donald Gordon Institute and has private recently opened his oncology practice in Krugersdorp.  His advice:” “don’t be afraid to challenge yourself, anything is possible if you dream it”.


Dr. Toulouse Cazes practices as a General Practitioner in the Randpark Ridge area in the North-Western suburbs of Johannesburg. She graduated from the University in Bloemfontein and has been in private practice for more than 20 years. She has consulted to various multi-national pharmaceutical companies in representative development assessment programmes as an independent assessor and adviser. Dr. Cazes contributes actively towards improving representative service delivery via performance assessment and evaluation.


Maureen has over 25 years of experience as an independent consultant in the areas of change management, professional coaching and training and development. She is currently an Executive Coach and Leadership Facilitator at the Wits Business School. She coaches clients from a wide range of private and public sectors. Maureen’s professional value contribution has been invaluable to healthcare industry clients such as Life Healthcare Group and Mediclinic for over 12 years. She provides workshops on emotional intelligence and coaches individual General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals. Maureen is passionate about people, developing their full potential and finding personal and career fulfillment.


Hendrien has been applying her MBA degree knowledge and business acumen across industries, including the pharmaceutical industry as a learning consultant, facilitator, coach. She consults to leading training institutions and public sector entities on curriculum and programme design.  She has been instrumental in developing coaching tools for diabetes educators across South Africa.  With more than 30 years of experience in learning, development, curriculum design, assessment, evaluation and coaching, Hendrien has distinguished herself in die learning and development industry as an expert in design and development of learning and assessment strategies, processes and tools.


Rob has experience in the pharmaceutical industry for over forty years. His responsibilities during this included head of training, market research and territory operations, talent assessment committee in the Middle East, Africa, Russia, Turkey plus Central and Eastern Europe and Supervision of the training department plus the running of management training courses. Rob holds a B.Pharm degree, a Dip. Pharmacology and Dip. Management Development. He is a certified flying instructor and has converted his energy supply at home exclusively on solar energy. He is currently part of the CHIETA stakeholder support team and an independent training and marketing consultant.


Chantelle founded her career within the pharmaceutical sales environment, and then took her passion for people and client service working on sponsorship properties like Absa KKNK, Aardklop and Absa Off-road Championships and Nestle Milo junior soccer championship.  Chantelle then joined boutique design and digital ideas agency to head up Client Services where she developed effective and sustainable client relationships for clients such as Incolabs, MacDonalds, Dairybell and Tigerbrands.  She  holds an IMM Diploma in marketing management. She is a driven, determined and passionate member of the ExpertRep team. The expertise she brings to the team includes customer relationship management, brand activation, public relations, sales and new business development.


With experience in brand management, brand marketing of employer as well as consumer brands, Minize connects businesses to their target markets through a variety of marketing functions including above-the-line and below-the-line tactics.   She collaborates with her team and clients to find innovative tools, techniques and processes to generate return on investment towards sustainable business growth. Minize has extensive experience in managing and executing sponsorships.  Her clients included ABSA, Nestle, Toyota and Samsung. With her passion for branding and corporate identity, Minize plays a strategic role in the branding and positioning of ExpertRep in the healthcare industry, helping customers to get to know the value proposition aligned to their business needs.


(B. Pharm – Potch)

Ronel has been consulting to the pharmaceutical industry for over ten years.  Her contributions have included training and facilitation, roll-out of pharmacy software solutions, key account management, clinical research, new business development, development and management of wellness programmes, disease state management, investor relationships management and establishment of a Life Insurance department.  She has working experience at the Potchefstroom hospital, the South African Defense Force, Baragwaneth pharmacy and as owner and manager of a Clicks pharmacy.


Lourensa is a registered pharmacist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.  and an assessor with the South African Pharmacy Council.  With more than 30 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, both in the corporate and independent retail environment, Lourensa is uniquely qualified to contribute to the development of representative competence in Southern Africa. In addition to her contributions in the capacity of pharmacist, pharmacy manager, regional manager, key account manager and client relationship manager, her contributions have included training and facilitation of CPD events for healthcare professionals. She has developed and managed various short courses for healthcare professionals across disease areas. She has been instrumental in the roll-out of pharmacy software solutions & the training there-of.  Lourensa believes that nobody can achieve anything significant, without teamwork. She is passionate about developing and mentoring people and sharing her knowledge and experience with others.  She loves the outdoors and animals – especially dogs.


Loudine completed her BA Communications, Honours in Industrial Psychology and a Masters in Human Resource Management. During that time, she also commenced her career. She started at the University of Johannesburg providing admin support to their central operations and facilitated the adult basic education and training initiative on campus. She then joined LeasePlan FM as their HR Manager. This role provided her an opportunity to develop her business and services acumen. She took some time off to raise her three girls. The call to write and publish has been a wonderful new challenge. In this capacity, she has conducted wide research on health matters and published articles aimed at simplifying an understanding of certain health topics.


Jeannine obtained her Bachelors in Nursing Science from the University of Pretoria in 2005. She has worked at primary healthcare facilities including Charlotte Maxeke hospital, Weskoppies, Denmar, and Skinner Clinic. Jeannine offers clinical training and development services in an independent consultant capacity. She plays the violin professionally and is passionate about the arts.


Welmoed’s B.Dietetics degree and M.Sc. Project Management degrees and experience as Training Manager and Training Specialist in the pharmaceutical industry has provided the perfect foundation for spearheading the establishment of ExpertRep.  She has extensive experience in the development of assessment instruments, competency matrices, learning programmes and policies. She has built a rich network of healthcare role-players who she consults towards building and constantly improving the ExpertRep platform.  Welmoed is Head of Faculty: Project Management at the Foundation for Professional Development and a faculty member of the University of Stellenbosch Business School – Executive development, The Da Vinci Institute and the Business School of South Africa.  She is a registered dietician with the HPCSA, ADSA, and full member of PMSA. She is a registered assessor and moderator with ETDP SETA, Services SETA, MICT SETA and CHIETA.  Welmoed enjoys running, cycling and cooking. She is passionate about helping people to develop themselves, appreciate every day and live life to the fullest.

Mary has have been involved in the South African pharmaceutical market for more than 30 years in various roles ranging from market research and product management of both ethical and over the counter (OTC) products and franchises including the launch of major brands.  More recently, she has managed pre-commercialization preparation of new drug launch projects. She has been involved with small consulting companies in a strategic development role.   She performs customer service research and customer centric strategy design solutions. Mary also does copy-writing for pharmaceutical companies and advertising agencies.   Mary is an avid photographer and has recently successfully completed her international diploma in photography through the Photography Institute. “My husband enjoys geocaching so when we go out I pick up my camera and he takes his Garmin. A good partnership!”


(B. Com Organisational Psychology – NWU)

Johan holds the position of Director: Public Health and Market Access at Astra Zeneca.  Through more than 18 years’ applied experience in the African pharmaceutical industry, Johan has distinguished himself as a proficient Market Development Strategist. He has in-depth understanding of the dynamics of the pharmaceutical market, political environments in Africa as well as cultural intricacies and the impact thereof on market economies.  Johan assisted pharmaceutical companies and relevant government institutes to unlock market access opportunities.  He provided strategic and operational direction on intelligence data that included competitor analysis, brand analysis, market pricing and price sensitivity among other, complemented by legal, compliance and resources requirements.  He is currently busy with his masters degree in health economics and pharma-economics at the University of Barcelona.  Johan enjoys spending time outdoors in the variety of landscapes Southern Africa has to offer.
